AAMM 2017 Workshops Overview

This conference has been designed to provide an overview of musculoskeletal conditions of the upper body and an update on established and novel new management options through plenary sessions and hands on workshops.

The program includes local, national and international speakers.

We are very excited to welcome our 4 keynote speakers:

Dr Patrick Goh (Sports Physician, Singapore) will lecture and run workshops on Platelet Rich Plasma – the science and application in conditions of the upper body.

Dr Heather Tick (Integrative Pain Practitioner, USA) will speak about GunnIMS (intramuscular stimulation/dry needling) and integrative medicine.

Professor Mark Hutchinson (Director of the ARC Centre of Excellence for Nanoscale BioPhotonics, University of Adelaide) will speak about viewing the brain as a neuroimmune organ in understanding persistent pain and drug responses.

Emeritus Prof Nik Bogduk (University of Newcastle) will discuss nociception, central pain and whiplash.

Our conference is suitable for all medical and allied health practitioners interested in musculoskeletal pain medicine, including GPs, MSK doctors, pain physicians, rheumatologists, orthopaedic surgeons, occupational and rehabilitation physicians, physiotherapists, podiatrists, chiropractors and massage therapists.

Registrars are encouraged to attend, and are offered a 50% discount on registration fees. Medical students can apply for sponsorship to attend the conference.

Our social functions are a wonderful opportunity to network with like-minded colleagues. Full conference registration includes attendance at the Welcome function and Conference Dinner. This year’s dinner will be held at the iconic Adelaide Oval.

We look forward to welcoming you to the beautiful city of Adelaide for a great weekend of learning and networking.
